It's also their 2nd seasonal song following their original Christmas vocal "Christmas Time" which was released 16 years from it.

Background [edit]

The Backstreet Boys had been working on their 8th studio album since mid-2012 and they originally aimed to have something out before the end of the year,[8] but later pushed back the release date for the unmarried to early 2013.[9] When they got the opportunity to perform at Disney Parks Christmas Twenty-four hours Parade, Disney gave them the option to sing their previous original Christmas song "Christmas Time" or a classic,[10] simply they figured they would write a new Christmas song instead which would too serve as a souvenir to their fans while they're waiting for the new anthology.[xi] Dorough and Carter wrote the vocal in early Oct 2012 with Morgan Taylor Reid and Mika Guillory in about two hours. Within a week they had the song not only demoed and written, but besides recorded past the remainder of the Backstreet Boys members. They then presented it to Disney, who chop-chop approved information technology.[10]

Artistdirect gave the song a positive review and 5 out of 5 stars,[12] describing the song every bit a "timeless Christmas canticle" with a polish acoustic guitar build-upward, resounding bells, and soaring five-role harmonies. Amusement Weekly besides gave the vocal a positive review, noting that the song has a tricky tune, a little "boy band claw," and a five-function harmony.[xiii]

The song peaked at No. 1 on Billboard'south Holiday Digital Songs chart in Nov 2012.[14]
